Only 5 doses in with Mepron and Zith.

Been trying to eat fatty foods before taking the mepron.

Stomach has been very crampy and uncomfortable.

Not sure if this is from the extra fat, or from the mepron and zith.

Any advice?

Does this go away eventually?

It is very uncomfortable.

It could be the meds, or it could be from Babesia. Babesia can cause nausea.

My stomach was not a fan of Zithromax. Are you taking high-quality probiotics daily? This is extremely important.

I hope this gets better for you soon!

Hi there Sammi,

Ok, thank you for your feedback.

I didn't realize babesia could cause stomach upset also. That is good to know.

Yes, this is my 2nd stint with zithromax, but started at the same time at mepron.

Maybe it is just too much for my body.

I do take 4 different kinds of probiotics, and also drink kefir daily. About 600 billion cfus in total, including the kefir.

Sometimes I take florastor also, especially with the tindi pulse-it is so hard on the stomach!

I will keep on keepin' on and hopefully it will resolve itself.

Thanks again

Yes, it could be the fats. Try taking a digestive enzyme containing Lipase with meals and see if that improves anything...

I took the fat with the mepron. Made a huge difference with my stomach.

I had exactly the same problem with my stomach when taking Mepron with fats.

Eventually, I had to go easy on the fats, even with digestive enzymes.

I found that eating a tablespoon of peanut butter was ok, but eating an omlette with Mepron made me sick to my stomach.

I also had to increase my magnesium because Mepron made me constipated which just added to the tummy troubles.

I am feeling better and don't have as bad of an upset stomach now. It has been 5 days.

I take the mepron with half an avocado or a MIM. (1/4 cup ground flax seed, 1 egg, 1 TBSP oil, 1/2 TSP baking powder, 1 TSP cinnamon, mixed in a coffee mug and microwaved for a minute)

Hopefully in another couple of days, all stomach cramping will be gone.
