Particularly the special ones - Theralac, Saccaromyces.

I can get VSL at CVS. They are all refrigerated and the above seem to be more specialized.

Thanks.

I buy mine online. I use Custom Probiotics. They have one called CP-1 that is very cost effective.

I'll move this to medical questions for you so you'll get more replies.

When I was buying Theralac, I bought directly from the company online.

You can buy saccromyces at CVS .. Florastor.

I have to worry about people stealing off my front porch so I rarely order through mail or ups.

I just go to costco or local stores.

It usually is delivered to your mailbox. Is that safe?

I'm home most of the time, so no problem here. (so far)

We buy Theralac at www.theralac.com and we have also purchased it on Amazon.

If you do purchase from Amazon, then look over to the left-side of the Lymenet page near the midle. Click on the area where it says "when purchasing from Amazon.com, please click here first".

Lymenet will then get a commission from your purchase and you'll be supporting keeping this website going.

Hello

Thank you everyone.

Do you worry about the need for it to be refrigerated - and shipping? How does it arrive to you?

Are Theralac, and, the saccaromyces the be-all and end-all? Is VSL good enough? Do they hit different things?

I order Saccharomyces online as I order many things online for better prices. Jarrow has a good product I like for this. It is available in some health food stores, last I knew (don't look anymore).

I use Custom Probiotics which is shipped.

The local Shoprite.

Evolve Kefir & Russian Kefir and I have been using them for 2 1/2 years now. I take 2-4 gulps a night & sometimes more.

Most of the really high quality products do not have to be refrigerated during shipment. They are stable but you refrigerate them when you receive them.

I think VSL is less stable and must be delivered under refrigeration. It is a good probiotic but contains dairy.

In my opinion, you cannot take ONLY saccromyces... you need the regular probos along with it.

It's good to change things up, so buy Theralac for a few months, then VSL, then Custom, etc.
