My doc put me on A-L and A-Bart in addition to A-FNG and A-INFL yesterday. I am waiting to start the a-l/a-bart. Let me know how it goes. What are your bart symptoms?

Greta, when I was on multiple antibiotics for Lyme, I would take an herbal remedy or tincture for Bart at the same time
(as I couldn't do more than 2-3 antibiotics at the same time, plus yeast, plus parasites tx, you get the idea)
I think A-Bart and Beyond Balance Bart tinctures, HH2 capsules, Cowden Hout. and Cumunda, etc. they were all worth it.

Our daughter tried Cowden for 2 months. No herxing, no improvements. Tried A-L. No Herxing, no improvements.
Tried A-Bart. Huge herxing starting out with 6 drops BID. Backed down to 2 drops BID and ramped up over the course of 4 months to 30 drops BID. Herxed with every increase. Stayed at 30 drops BID for 6 months and weaned when she was weaned from abx.
Two months later we started A-Bart again and couldn't make it past 4 drops BID without herxing.
I give up. If 6 months of A-Bart at 30 drops BID haven't made an improvement in her reaction to it, we aren't using it any more.
She is doing great with Buhner's FULL bartonella protocol with CSA. After figuring out what dosages she can handle, we are remaining there. No pain, no herxing, she is JUST GREAT!
I'm not sure what it was about A-Bart. Lots of herxing, but no improvements (other than the ones I can relate to the abx she was on at the time).
But to be fair our LLMD didn't use any of the BW detox forumlas either. Perhaps they might have made a difference.

I tried my first experiment in muscle testing.
What the heck. It makes me feel like I know what I am doing. Lol.
I tested last night and this morning. Both times 6 drops.
My bart symptoms this time around
Bartonella streaks (first time ever-looks like a cat took a dislike to my torso-haha)
Costochondritis is back.
Sore feet.
Insomnia.
Much better than my symptoms the first time around with bart.
Yes, I am on so many abx for lyme and babesia, we opted herbal.
I tested A-Bab and my body said "No"
Also said "No" to my mineral supps.
Both the "No" s surprised me.

Thanks so much for your suggestions and experiences everyone!
I remember with A-V I was knocked on my butt several times.
It physically caused me pain. And took a week to recover. From half a drop.
So I appreciate your feedback everyone, I don't want to be knocked on my butt again with the a-bart.
It is garlicy.

Well gotta say,
Normally Thursdays and Fridays are neuro lyme herx hell. They are the first two days I pulse ON my IV rocephin.
Not sure if this is A-BART, or the fact that my bart flared,
But I neuro herxed so bad today I couldn't speak. My mouth isn't forming words properly, And I can't chew. The twitching an muscle control is so bad, I can barely bring my hand to my mouth, and chewing is impossible.
I drank my dinner (protein shake) through a straw. Took me an hour. Geesh.Lukewarm by the time I made it to the bottom. Disgusting.

Yikes Greta! Your poor mouth. It sounds like coordination is totally off.
I've had good luck with BLt by Researched Nutritionals.

Wow, Greta
Hope your symptoms ease up for you today.
Did your Dr. mention about backing down if you herx on the Herbals?

Hi there Jane and Judie,
Yes, he said I could back down as needed.
I definitely will.
Fell asleep at 1am. Woke up at 3am with a pounding heart, and the olifactory hallucinations.
I could smell dog poop. And my skin/sweat smells of hot metal.
Had this before I treated bart the first time.
Just tossed and turned for 2 hours.
But like before the smell of dog poop and hot metal makes me nauseated.
Gosh I forgot how awful bart was!
So today doing 3 drops twice daily and ramping up detox.
Whew. I hope this formula isn't one constant herx with not much improvement.

I love A-bart. I have had to increase very slowly as I always herx when I do so. I definitely feel as though it has helped with my bart.
Good luck

Awesome you started muscle testing (good for you)! It took me some time, patience and practice, but eventually paid off (quite helpful).
I went super slow with A-bart. I felt better hanging out at a lower dose, then just inched along slowly over six months.
Wow, Xrunner, $49 is a great price!
