I still haven't decided if i should go to a lyme doctor, ent, etc. am getting an mri tomorrow that i tried to get with contrast, but said it wasn't needed.. Although i'd feel better if it was used

I am constantly lightheaded, i feel all off balance, my arms and legs feel very weak, sometimes i can't tell if the right is more. Extreme fatigue. Some joint aches at times it seems, tingling at spots. Eyes feel heavy, tiny muscle twitches, sometimes ears seem clogged? Not sure though. The head feeling is the worst i think. Walking around feels weird to me, dream like a lot. I remember seeing black floaters once or twice, i think. BP okay but it's like at night i feel my heart pouding. Sometimes ringing, vibrating in ear? Throat has hurt on and off in the past few months, slight thrush on back of tongue, doctor said it's fine. Jaw and neck has hurt a while before, and stomach. Felt better at some point seemed less lightheaded, out of it, then one night it seemed to hit and the weakness and off balance feeling seemed to really start, got better after a week, came back worse after drinking, i think..

Doctor checked ears at check up (not sure if that can find inner ear infection), blood tests fine (at er, tsh was .7.. few weeks earlier 2.22?) had a lyme test and of course it came negative... All it said was elisa or westgreen was less than or equal to 20 (2) and western blot (igG, igM) was less than equal to .9. Could this still be wrong? I am so afraid i have a disorder like ms and i find it hard to believe this is just anxiety [Frown]

Doctor gave me 20 mg celexa although id rather not take it.. It is giving me insomnia and it's like i feel a heavy sensation before drifting off and twitch somewhere.

Sounds like Lyme to me.

You could very easily go to a "dr" and get diagnosed with MS, and then they would treat you for that with Lyme being the real issue. Then, you would go years with improper treatment, get worse and not know what is going on.

What Lyme test did you have done? If it was not Igenex then i would suggest having Igenex done as well as a complete co-infections panel done.

See what those results show and then make an informed decision on whether to investigate possible Lyme or not.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many people are misdiagnosed with MS that really have Lyme.

Lyme (not treated properly) can also manifest into MS. Whether or not it is really MS at that later stage and really not still Lyme i am not sure.

Lyme causes anxiety. IMHO, anxiety is a direct result of "something". If you go to a "dr" he will give you "meds" for the anxiety. He will treat the symptom and not the cause. So now you are on all these anti-anxiety meds and not treating Lyme.

Based on all of your symptoms i would say it is more likely Lyme than MS.

I would get an Igenex and co-infections panel done and then revisit a possible diagnosis at that point.

Do you ever remember a tick bite or a rash?

Not a "Dr" so take it as you will.....

Sounds like candida/yeast to me. Could be Lyme AND candida .. easily.

Find a dr who can handle both .. an LLMD.

Gosh Kasey, I have all your symptoms. It feels like I just got off a carnival ride when I walk around. That is definitely not anxiety.

It doesn't sound like you feel confident with your doctor. Get another opinion.

By the way, not everyone remembers a tick bite or gets a rash.
