Can anyone explain to me about Transfer Factor. Is this used as an Immune System Modulator?
I have trouble taking LDN, so I wondered about this or if there is any other type of Immune System Modulator anyone would recommend.
Has anyone had success using it in treatment? And side effects?

My lyme doctor gave me Transfer Factor when he was treating my lyme and coinfections and my white blood cell count went low.
White blood cells are needed to fight infection.
In just 2 weeks, the Transfer Factor had my white cell count back up to normal.
So, that is the use I know about. The TF that I took had bovine (cow's) colostrum in it. That was the important ingredient.
I had no side effects at all with the TF. It was a little expensive. I believe the brand was 4Life.

I am taking Tranfer Factor to help boost/support my immune system. Not sure if it is helping yet, but I have had no side effects...just expensive as TF mentioned.

I have been taking Transfer Factor PlasMyc per LLMD. It's very expensive, but I haven't had any side effects. I take the Researched Nutritionals Brand.
I really don't know if it works or not.

I too finished up my lyme treatment with Researched Nutritional Brands of Transfer Factor. From my understanding, it was to help build your immune system up.
Lyme knocks us silly and although we need treatment, we also need support. This is how it was explained to me.

I felt horrible on Transfer Factor. I was hoping to have the results others had on it, but it only made me worse. I could hardly get out of bed when I took it. My LLMD took me off it pretty quickly.
I know for others it has worked well. We're all different.

All I know is that 4Life Original Transfer Factor keeps my wife white count up on I.V.'s We believe it is a direct correlation. Who knows what it does for the immune system but it allows her to keep on I.V.'s.

I see there are new transfer factor products by 4life. I'd like to see the original you speak of.

I have been re-reading my copy of Insights into Lyme Disease Treatment and highlighted the following with regards to the use of Transfer Factor:
"Transfer factor shouldn't be used in cases of chronic Lyme, however, because it stimulates a Th1 response, and people with chronic Lyme often already have an exaggerated Th1 response. Lyme-specific transfer factor CAN be used in those with chronic Lyme". - Page 68, words from Dr. B, MD. Excerpt taken from Insights into Lyme Disease Treatment.
I know that Researched Nutritionals make Transfer Factor LymePlus. You would have to call the company to confirm that their product does not stimulate a Th1 response.
I believe that Lyme specific transfer factor stimulates the Th2 response from the immune system thus balancing the 2 immune responses.
