I'm finally being treated oral ABX with LLMD. Nystatin, Omnicef & Zithromax.
Also, LLMD DX Bart & Babesia co-infections.
I'm only two weeks in and pretty much no herx so far.
I think I'm kind of disappointed that I haven't had herx, I was hoping for definitive proof of my disease, even though I'm IND IGeniX and LLMD DX clinically.
I'm 14 years into Lyme so I figure it will take awhile and maybe I need IV ABX, we don't know yet and I hope not since I can't afford it. I'm doing everything out of pocket so far.
Others have any thoughts about no Herx?

Sorry you're disappointed. It sounds like you're on a good treatment plan to start.
Those results look like Lyme to me.
Not everyone has a "noticeable" herx. I don't herx. It only happened once and only for 1 day.
I know someone who has been battling with Lyme for 20 years and has never herxed, even on strong meds.
A herx can rule something "in" but not rule something "out."

Thanks Judie. Just something that tells me the battle is on with the little buggers, ya know?

Uncertainty is a bummer. You're on a pretty good combo though so it's doing "something."
Perhaps you'll just start feeling better and better.
Sometimes it can take over a month or longer to feel a change (good or bad). If you don't feel anything, the doc might up the meds until something changes.
Some doctors don't slam a patient with every med at once. They wait for some die-off or to see how a patient reacts first before adding more.
I'm on 3 antibiotics and adding an anti-malarial next week.
It's strange thinking I'm on so much, but I wasn't progressing on just 2 oral antibiotics.

For the non herxer, count your blessings. You have an excellent detox system in your body!

Judie, best luck with the new meds. And will keep clock that 1 month mark to see if something changes.
CherylSue, I hadn't thought of it that way. LLMD was big on Detox and I'm taking several as capsules + drops + probiotics + Lactoferrin. Magnesium, "B" and "D"' Also, no gluten and dietary changes.
Maybe my cocktail is key...back to Doc early August so will find out then.

Those supplements are probably helping get rid of any noticeable die-off (herx). Sounds good. I like that your doc is addressing detox along with antibiotics.
Thanks for wishing me luck. It's always a little nerve wracking to start a new med. I'm allergic to both zithromax and omnicef so it's great that you're able to tolerate those.

I started oral antibiotics and didn't herx until one month later. Any detoxing you're doing sounds like a good idea, as that will help your treatment.

I didn't herx at first either. Just had a slow increase in energy and stamina.
I think my detox pathways were good.
The longer I am in treatment the worse the 4th week herx gets.
Keep doing whatever you're doing via detox.
Also be sure to take your abx well away from any mineral supplements, or milk products, antacids etc to ensure max absorption.
So glad you have an LL now
