I'm on a break from antibiotics right now..I'm using the BLT tincture from Researched Nutritionals which contains a mixture of teasel,red root, sarsaparilla, boneset, black walnuts hulls and others....
Before my LLMd puts me back on abx, I 'd really like to try herbs full force. Which herbal protocol do you think is the strongest? I've heard Cowden is stronger than Bruhner, also heard of Beyond Balance herbs... I would really appreciate if people could put down names, dosages, and how often to take, and where to order so that I could just do it instead of having to read full books ( for which I unfortunately do not have the brain right now).... Would sooo appreciate any suggestions! Thank you as always

Of Cowden, Buhner, Beyond Balance and Byron White, I find Byron White by FAR to be the strongest for me.
Beyond Balance: I don't notice anything from it.
Buhner: Very little reaction or herx but I find artemisia and CSA helpful.
Cowden: No reaction to Banderol, Samento, Enula, Mora, etc. Strong reaction to Cumanda and Quina.
BW: STRONG reaction to A-L and A-BART. No reaction to A-BAB.

I have tried most herbal protocols and for sure Byron White is the strongest. By far.........IME.

In general . . .
When considering herbal / nutritional / adjunct methods, because lyme is so very complex & unique, as are possible coinfections:
if at all possible - because each person & each case is different - it's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL ND (lyme literate naturopathic doctor) (or similar) who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -
- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present, and has completed the ILADS Physician Training Program (see: www.ilads.org )
so they really know all they can about the science of lyme . . . how lyme (& other TBD) act and what we can do about that in various ways.
Many LL NDs incorporate antibiotics (depending upon the licensing laws in their state). Some LLMDs and LL NDs have good working relationships.
When possible, it's great to have both a LLMD and LL ND and even better when they have a long-standing professional relationship.
Herbal Safety considerations & reference books; etc.
Links to many articles and books by holistic-minded LL doctors of various degrees who all have this basic approach in common:
Understanding of the importance of addressing the infection(s) fully head-on with specific measures from all corners of medicine;
knowing which supplements have direct impact, which are only support and which are both.
You can compare and contrast many approaches with links to articles, books, methods . . . . -
