So, I always wondered what this fat pad thing was on the base of my lower neck. Doctor looked at it today and said it's a lipoma and should be removed. I also have two of these on my shoulders.
It's not small. It's pretty big, bigger than a golf ball.
Is this lyme related? Bad posture? What causes these things?
I also raised the question with him about addisons disease. I have some weird symptoms such as these fat pads and skin discoloration (darkening on skin and patches on my nipples).
Doc said he was going to check my cortisol levels in the meantime, never had them checked before.
Another surgery.... yah!!!! (Insert sarcasm) I feel like such a freak show now.
I've always been really self conscious of the hump, maybe having it removed would be a good thing. I can wear my hair up again!!!

There's different kinds of lipoma conditions and I don't remember all their names. I had a gentler version and I followed the topic in an online chat group.
I had surgery for one of mine, and it started growing back again. So this group I was in had a top doctor/researcher who was reporting results of her trying remedies with lipoma patients.
One day they announced success for some doing a remedy: drink noni juice and take grapeseed extract capsules, both anti-inflammatory. The researcher said it would be good against MMP9 inflammation.
I thought I had nothing to lose and tried it. Within one month, all my lipomas - maybe about 5 or 6 of them - shrank to nothing!!!
So then I did the next logical experiment, which was not to take the remedies, and the lipomas came back. Then I took the remedies again and they shrank. How about that?!
Are you up for trying that simple experiment? Yours will take longer than a month to reduce since they're larger than mine were, but you will be able to tell that they are getting smaller.

Yes!!! I would love to try something like this.
I am still adjusting to not having a gallbladder and some things are a little rough for me.
Any idea how that stuff is on the stomach and digestion?
I just started my vsl #3 probiotic again after being off it for awhile and that just about killed me (in a good way I suppose). I had candida strings that looked as long as my intestine. Yuck!

If you do any of the above you'd want to combine it with proteolytic enzymes. The suggestions are around 10mg.
Otherwise its surgery with potential scarring.
Or live with them like I do. I have one on my forearm which is 3 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch above the plane of the skin. I've got pretty large arms anyways. Makes me look like popeye.
I had a doctor really concerned about it. Sent me to Hopkins. I was put into a small room where there were 4 doctors. The took biopsy after biopsy, looking through dark field microscopes and a lot of tests. Never quite came clean what they found, however it was a topic of a symposium and is as much as I know.
I probably have a bout 50 or more on body.
And no! I haven't tried to get rid them. I just don't care, they're part of me and I'm liv'n with them. :

Bob, did you ever try any of the natural treatment?
Kbone, I had no digestive issues while doing the noni juice and grapeseed extract capsules. I always say start very small to see how you do with anything, then up the dose.

I hadn't tried any natural cures for it, a natural doctor suggested ozonated coconut oil to be used topically.
I don't think the ozonated coconut oil would do anything, just doesn't feel like it. I'll take a shot at what I might try:

I can't guarantee any of this would work. But if it did -- wouldn't it be cool
If you do any of what I suggested you should tell your primary physician or better yet an LLMD.
