Hello!

Just curious if anyone knows the best way to post a picture? Do I just need to post a link of the photo?

I've been suspicious of these "spider vein" issues that I think may be related to Bart. I'm wondering if I post them, would people mind looking at them and telling me what they think?

I'm just testing out with this link, we'll see if it works or I'll try posting a brand new post.

Thanks Steve!

I couldn't get anything to post with my second attempt. Did you get this picture to post for me? There are some others I posted with my first general link if you could show those as well?

Show them to your Lyme doctor.

I had some weird marks (looked like red marks, could be stretch marks).

My Lyme doc said they weren't because stretch marks don't form in the direction they were going.

I distinctly had a bartonella rash. It faded in about 3 days. I looked like a striped tiger.

Thanks Steve & Judie.

Judie - I definitely don't have the stretch marks. Just these explosions of "spider veins" appearing all over my thighs, up my thighs into my butt area, and recently a few tiny one on my side/stomach.

I'll definitely show them to my LLMD.

Any other opinions appreciated!

Those are not the tell tail stretch marks, but it's hard to tell with these photos.

BUT REMEMBER - Any skin rashes, papules, stretch marks, and other skin findings that baffle doctors can be Bart.

Those pictures look exactly like what came up for me after my last child was born- I told you this story in your other post about Bart- but that's exactly what it looked like-

I've never had the classic Bart stripes- and I'm positive Bart.
Your LLMD has dx'd you with Bart- no-one here can tell you:

100%! Galaxy labs probably has the best Bart test, but you need to be off antibx, and it requires 3 separate blood draws done in 1 week,

and even that test can come back negative when you really are positive. Have you tried treating Bartonella specifically?

--------------------
Lyme positive PCR blood, and
positive Bartonella henselae Igenex, 2011.
low positive Fry biofilm test, 2012.
Update 7/16- After extensive treatments,
doing okay!

Sounds good. Thanks for your input everyone!

Yep, I am assuming I have Bart based on what my doctor said. I just wanted to see if anyone could relate to these skin issues.

I never tested positive for Bart. The stripes came up about 11 months into Lyme treatment. They were on my butt, thighs and a small area under my arm a week later.

I have those same veins, was neg on the Labcorp Bart test but LLMD thinks based on symptoms that i have it.

I also have Hypercoagulation; he thinks veins could be Bart but more likely that it is related to Hypercoaugulation (and Lyme).

I had the tiger stripes also.

Also have these pop up spider veins.

Also cherry angiomas that self dissolved after treating.

Weird bumps that feel like dried peas under my skin.

Pockets of swelling beneath my ankle bone.

I am of the midset that a weird rash/new veins bumps etc plus either insomnia or anxiety points to discussing bart with an LLMD or LLND.

mine look the same. I am positive for the "haemobartnella" by Frylab which may also be a protozoan. I had good results with antiprotozoan treatment but it seems to be very very resistant.
I also have lots of biofilms shown by blood smear. I felt best results treating them with lovenox (other name clexane) 80.000 IE one to two times daily and then adding in things like hydroxychloroquine with azi or praziquantel or malarone as well as clindamycin.

I anyone with such bart-unusual spider veins has experience with good treatment results please email me or post.

Might want to check here. Click on the Lyme & TBD Rashes.

http://picasaweb.google.com/home?tab=Fq

Look at the pics of 2 feet in frame #23. On the right ankle you'll see those type marks.

The foot in photo #20 also has red and purplish colored marks.

I didn't check out all the feet. After all, it is Friday night and I think I have other things to do.

[lol]

If you want to share your photos to be put on the website, you can send them to [email protected] They are easier to see than some of the ones up there.

Much appreciated!

Thanks everyone for your input!

Sometimes it is hard to distinguish a "normal" physical change between something caused by Lyme or co-infections.

Ever since I found out about my Lyme, I can't help but wonder if certain new symptoms are from that, or just something normal and un-related. Anyone else ever struggle with that? Lots of fun [Smile]
