On the bottle of Burbur it says to shake well before using. I can understand that, given that my bottle has gunk in it that probably needs to be mixed with whatever the solution is.
What I don't understand is why you would have to wait a minute before drinking? Is it because:
a. you need a minute to screw the dropper back on the bottle to prevent spilling it all over the counter,
b. as a Lyme sufferer you need to slow down and not race - and it guarantees you a minute of peace
c. the burbur takes a full minute to disperse into the water?
I can't imagine it would take a minute for 10 drops (my dosage) to disperse in water. Why not suggest stirring the water if that was the intended effect.
Can anyone provide a medical or pharmacological explanation for this? (Truth told, I put the 10 drops in, put the cap on and drink it up. Am I helping or hurting myself. Who knows?)
Thank you for any helpful insights. D.

Well, you got me looking at my burbur bottle which I never read before (I just did my doc's instructions).
For tinctures, I put them in hot, almost boiling water and let them sit for a bit so the alcohol dissipates.
Maybe the ethanol can disperse a bit in minute? I'm not sure either.
