- The smell is just the sulfur, from the 2 amino acids.
Keep the lid on the bottle, don't let a capsule just sit out loose or it will loose its strength.
If you smell it coming from the bottle with tight lid, call the company directly and ask about keeping it in the fridge. If okay, or not.
For some supplements with a strong smell, like a fish protein powder (Seacure) I took years ago, I had to keep it in the fridge. No smell there when it was kept cool. -
