Can anyone advise if they are ok to use?

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Fleet-Enema-Ready-To-Use-w-Saline-Laxative-4.5-Fl-Oz/1115415

Is enema pretty much safe to do with gastro issues?

Thanks

A comment: if you are dealing with constipation, drinking mangosteen juice daily can keep intestines regular like a baby's. I like the Mango-Xan version as it's the most tart. Found in healthfood stores and online.

If you're interested in parasite cleansing and detoxing, no, there's more specific ways to handle all that.

You can use the Search function at the top of the page here to type in any word or phrase and read through archived threads on what people have done.

Huge discussions here already on parasites, and look up coffee enemas as one aspect of detoxing, out of many.

I would not do it. It's really a very harsh thing to put your body through - all that cramping and pain that it will cause.

There are better, safer ways for colon support and also to address any parasite matters. GENTLE is the key, though. Don't cause your body trauma.

I'm sure somewhere the ingredients of that are listed but not at that link. One thing, other than the ingredients likely being too harsh is the kind of plastic used. I would look for a BPA-free bottle / bag if at all possible.

I would rather suggest looking at the Hulda Clark website. And:

From my file notes on this topic but in connection with a prep kit for a colonoscopy - and this may be much better than a regular drugstore enema, IMO. And the parasite support thread will have detail on coffee enemas. That would be a better way to go now.

The one below was for a full prep for a test, so you may not need such now just wanted to add this as it apparently does not cause the cramping and pain that other enema prep kits can.

Judie posted this in Sept. 2013:

She writes: " . . . The prep he gave helped clear me out and I actually had RELIEF from Lyme symptoms for a few days after the colonoscopy.

I'm horribly sensitive to meds and he gave me something that clears out of the body very fast for the procedure." (end quote)

In her reply to my request for the name:

I took Suprep. I got a sample from my GI doc because insurance wanted to charge $100. I just called the office and asked if they had samples because it's so expensive.

http://www.suprepkit.com/about-suprep.htm

It will totally give you the urge to go. I seriously had no pain or cramping.

I drank it with a straw (I can't remember where or why I did that, but I remember reading that it's easiest to take it that way for some reason, maybe the taste?).

It actually was better than having bad diarrhea because I didn't have the pain and burning that could go with that.

I only ate chicken broth, jello and fruit juice the day before.

I have no idea why people do colonics. I think this would clean your whole system out better than that.

It was like I had majorly detoxed some bad stuff out of me afterwards. I was in major Lyme treatment at the time and taking antibiotics. I think some stuff was backed up in my colon.

FYI, my doc uses MINT oil during the procedure to help when he does colonoscopies so the colon doesn't spasm. I thought that was really interesting.

I hope that helps.

Judie

Thanks. I have two colon cleanse herbal supplements.

Christophers Lower Bowel Formula and Cleanse Purify Colon Program which looks like it has Rubarb on it. I've read some of the herbs are not good to take regularly because it can cause dependency on them but maybe once every few days or a week or something could be ok to take them.

I've heard coffee enemas are helpful but caffeine is hard for me to take. Problem with the herbs is my stuff is systemic so I prefer meds that will kill the stuff stronger but it seems like people get different experience as to what works or not.

I've taken plenty meds and prazi doesn't seem to get the flukes for some reason. I have a triclabendazole I've been sitting on I may need to take and hope i isn't too crazy - supposed to be top choice to get flukes.

Fleet saline enema can be harsh. Osmotic laxative, it pulls water from the body into the colon, so has the ability to be more negative to electrolyte balance. But for someone who has never taken an enema before, probably much less intimidating than other methods.
