- Thank you for posting that detail about how the brain is changed with pain and
how even a tiny bit too much (for us) glutamate can make that so much worse.
For those with the kinds of neurological damage that can happen with lyme, excess (and it may not take much) glutamate / glutamic acid can be especially toxic to nerve tissue. Details in the articles here that explain how & why.

Seaweed has its own natural MSG and can be very excitatory
There are also other food additives with similar neurotoxicity / excitatory aspects:
Excitotoxins; MSG; Aspartame; & "Natural" Flavors (that are not likely natural at all). -
