I listened to the Pathologist from Under Our Skin talk about different lyme related EM rashes. He called the Bulls Eye Lyme One O One, Kindergarten lyme.
I had what looked like red scratches on my face. Could that have been another type of lyme rash and not bart?

- Marks - if elongated, puffy, raised a bit looking like welts - are more likely bartonella than lyme. But, more often they appear on the torso, upper arms and thighs or around / behind knees . . . although all bets are really off.
You may have just scratched your face and an immune response made it more evident if there was a reaction. I have that happen frequently when I scratch myself.
A good LL MD can help sort it out better, of course (and should assess a range of tick born infections).
If you happened to have saved photos, all the better help for the puzzle to be pieced together. -

It happened on two different occasions and never happened again. I have photos. I know for certain on one of the occasions I didn't scratch my face at all.
I also tried to create the same marks on the other cheek by scratching myself while the real marks were present. I could not get the same result.
I'd be interested to see pictures of all of the other rashes if they exist some where. Those were some good photos, but not what mine look like.

- I'd just mention to your LLMD & let him / her see the photo you saved. There are so many other explanations though, even if not from a scratch. So many products / food (histamine) reactions possible, too.
But to see other TBD rash photos, you can cross search the web for those best via Google ADVANCED search. So much easier. -
