I've done shots and bled a lot. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I shot in the top of my thigh and top of the glute.

I'll try leaving the needle out of the fridge for a while next time.

Yes, DEFINITELY get your IM Bicillin at room temperature and out of that refrig before using it.

It's still never a pleasant shot, but it honestly was one of my turn around drugs.

My husband always gave them to me in my butt, so I can't comment on the thigh but know many have done that.

I've heard putting heat on the injection site and walking help the pain afterwards, does ice work too?

Best location was when administered in buttocks while lying on my side by hubby at room temp of course. It was injected for the course of 5 min (must be done very slowly)! After injection I would massage the area and apply some heat. Good luck, let us know if it gets better! I do think the buttocks is the best place to inject if u can get the help.

Are you using Dorsal Gluts or Ventral Gluts?

To me the VG's much "better".
