Dandelion caused me problems too. Even in small doses. Maybe I should try the tea... steep it and then just drink half of it or something.
I literally can't take anything that touches my liver. But I need to keep liver enzymes low.

I haven't been on a liver support in over a year and my liver enzymes have stayed down.
The only thing i can contribute that to is possibly
Ginger Houttuynia Magnesium
Those are only supplements I take. I have read that ginger works well for liver.

The other thing I take for liver is Liver Depurato, by Plant Stem Cells, www.epsce.com, I believe they only sell through practitioners.
It contains extracts of juniper, hazel, rosemary, rye, ash, silver birch, dandelion, artichoke, in organic grape alcohol. Most of these are from young shoots/buds, so, for example, the rye is not the rye berries.
Maybe this is no good for you as it contains dandelion, but just thought I'd mention what I'm taking. Maybe in this form will be different, or maybe you could pursue some of the others. For example, I have heard from others that rosemary is good for liver.
Also, for that matter, I have heard that eating livers is good for liver. As a vegetarian that would be low on my list, and don't know how pure of one you could get these days, but just another idea.
