So I have been on iv rocephin, and they added iv Zithromax a month ago. We have gone from every other day, and now to everyday, 500 mg The past few weeks my stomach pain has come back. I had severe stomach problems at the time of my dx. They went away after a month of treatment. At first I was thinking it was the meds, then I thought maybe the sugar I cheated with. Then I thought maybe it's a herx? Anyone with any experience with Zithromax have any thoughts? The first few times I took it, I had nausea during the iv. That went away. I was really fine for a month, now bam! I appreciate any insite -------------------- celiac dx 2012 pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor dx 2012 lyme dx 2/14 poss igm wb, neg igg wb - Igenex/CDC

I don't have any experience with zith and stomach pain but I wasn't able to be on it very long due to other side effects. Juat wanted to caution you to be very protective of your ears on this med, it gave me tinnitus that never went away. Wear ear plugs/head phones with any loud noise: vacuum, hairdryer, blender, lawn mower etc I hope your stomach pain gets better

I know it was the only abx that gave me instant diarrhea. Have you been following the low sugar, low carb diet so you don't get yeast? That will cause plenty of stomach pain. -------------------- --Lymetutu-- Opinions, not medical advice!

I have had tinnitus before...though it has gone now, thank god. But I did notice a different feeling close to it the other day. I am already gluten free, don't eat many carbs or sugar, but I had cheated a lot on vacation. I thought maybe sugar was the culprit. Since I came home, my stomach was better for a few days until I snagged some of my daughter's Mike and Ikes. My stomach was immediately on fire. I thought that's it!!!!!! BUt then, yesterday, I ate a few slices of roast beef, and a few brussell sprouts...nothing else, and I was again in burning pain and nausea! No sugar, no carbs...Sigh -------------------- celiac dx 2012 pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor dx 2012 lyme dx 2/14 poss igm wb, neg igg wb - Igenex/CDC
