My hair has been thinning for some time now. I used Stephania for a while but didn't notice a big improvement. So, I stopped that and started using Rogaine and, if anything, it seems worse. Does anyone know what causes hair thinning or loss and what fixes it?

Heal the gut. You have to absorb nutrition through the gut for everything else to work right. In the meantime, as mentionend above, you might see if you need hormonal or thyroid support, but likely those are caused by inflammation, especially in the gut.

Once your body starts getting healthier, it grows back.
