I am going to have to get several fillings in my front teeth. I am not sure what to do about the back ones as insurance will only cover amalgams and I am not doing that.
Is there any concern over the regular white fillings?
Also, my son is in need of a stainless steel crown. Would there be any concern with that?
I feel silly asking the question about the white fillings but I have been soo sick lately that I am scared of doing anything that could possibly worsen my health.
I have become so sensitive to so many things I just never know what will set off feeling worse.

I would just make sure to see a biological dentist and then you'd have fewer things to worry about.
I have white fillings from a biological dentist. They lasted about 10 yrs and some are still counting.
Stainless steel.. I don't know.. Make sure you know what other metals are used. My last crown was a porcelain crown made "in house." It's supposed to last a really long time.
He said longer than my one gold crown.

I will have to find out if there is a biological dentist that accepts medicaid. I really doubt but I'll call.

Bio dentists are really expensive
My regular dentist told me some ppl react to different plastics. I never have
The bio dentist had me take out my gold crown and all root canals and just pulled teeth
That gold one was so expensive. I wonder where it went...they didnt refund me anything!
Im having a fourth tooth pulled tuesday. I hope i can just let it be. But if teeth move too much i guess i have to get a bridge
I still cannot believe insurance can say that when there is so much research saying how bd amalgsms are and how many dentists refuse to do them now

Ipkayak-I have a molar with a gold crown that should probably be pulled since I won't have a root canal. I told the dentist I want that gold crown back seeing that I paid for it!

I would be reluctant to get a stainless steel crown. They usually have nickel and one of the problems with metal in your mouth is the battery effect they create. Porcelain would be my choice if you have that option.
I found a very good dentist who doesn't use mercury and he takes dental insurance. I am not sure about Medicaid though. I found him through IOAMT
