bloodwork came back. said blood count reveals slight elevation of red blood cell of 5.46, hemoglobin and hemocrit of 16.1 and 47.1. said to follow up with primary care. now why in the heck would a gastro see this and then say oh follow up with your regular doctor? I mean wouldn't he be referring me to somebody? and what heck is high rbc count? -------------------- do not look back when the only course is forward

Could be dehydration coupled with your BP issues. Most Dr's don't know hematologies very well. Best to look under the microscope!
