I never had skin issues before lyme except for acne. The past couple years I have been getting hive like red circles that itch and often break open and ooze. Then other times often in winter I started to get scratch like marks on my back for no reason that would scab over so I thought bartonella. I once tested positve for hemobartonella from Fry Labs.

Now today all of a sudden I got 5 or 6 skin tears on both hands that bleed just a little. I didn't hit my hands on anything. I read a past post on Lymenet about ACA but I'm not sure it is that. All these problems seem to come and go in spells or cycles....except I don't know about that yet with the skin tears.

I am wondering if it is a parasite thing or if Lyme is doing this. Has anyone noticed improvement with these types of symptoms with antibiotics? Its just all so bizarre!

How long have you had lyme? Did you come up positive for lyme in testing? Have you had any other bartonella symptoms?

Hi <<<<< daystar'52 >>>>>,

I've had the little red hive like circles. tho' mine don't ooze, they get crusty itchy.

Many years back when o got the little circles,it turned out to be Pitariasis Rosea, and required an ABX ointment to stop it.

And one other time before the Pitariasis,a virus was going around, and my cousins and I got it,
itchy weepy red hive like stuff. Again it was treated w/ an ABX cream.

Not sure about the skin tears on your hands, my feet do that sometimes tho' and I have to keep a watch on the skin there.

Have you been using an unusual soap or cleanser \ cleaning product, something you aren't used too?

LD and Co-infections can cause so many odd symptoms. I hope you can find out what it is.

Hoping someone who might have more experience w/ skin issues from LD and Co's comes along soon.

Jus' Silverwolfi here

So sorry to hear about that new symptom Daystar. I can't do it right now (post pics on the Rashes site for you)- on a project that takes up too much computer space/energy- and Rod Stewart (and his band) is here singing to me right now...

But if you can email me I'll send you some pics that I haven't put up on the Rashes site yet.

One is a bartonella skin scratch/skin tear, kind of like it seems you are describing, and it was on the hand, and did slightly bleed and appeared from no where.

And these weird Lyme ACA things do tend to cycle for reasons I don't know.

As for the round rashes, are they only on arms, legs, upper or lower trunk?
