Hi folks:
Long time lymie here. Been treating for about 5 years, and am at the 90-95% threshold most days. Not much to complain about, usually.
I've been flaring a bunch on the current herbal regimen that my LLMD has me on.
Most symptoms are the "usual suspects" that I've had off an on for years. But a new one has popped up the past week or so.
I can describe it mostly has "bladder pressure" or "mild bladder discomfort." My bladder doesn't necessarily hurt. It is mainly just noticeable....all the time. It is mild and I can usually ignore. It also comes and goes and seems to "flare" with certain foods/beverages.
It doesn't hurt to urinate, nor is it really painful in any way. It is just noticeable.
Anyway..it is new for me. Googling, I came across "Interstitial Cystitis" which appears to be the same symptoms...except IC usually happens in women and I'm a man. But what they describe is the same. Bladder pressure, etc. What's interesting is most of what I've read about IC is it is common for suffers of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Hmmm...seems to me it can go with Lyme.
Anyway...just wondering if others have had this and what they found to get rid of it. Again, mine is mild. I've read horror stories where IC is so bad it is debilitating. I don't have that. It is more of a mild awareness/annoyance.
Thoughts?

I am prone to get UTIs and for me, that's what they feel like. I usually don't get burning. If I just drink some extra water when I get the pressure, it will go away. I usually drink about 2 quarts of water per day and I don't get UTIs.

Just a mens multi vitamin.
I've read about IC and it sounds horrible. I don't think that's necessarily what I have. I have some pressure / discomfort that is very mild in my pelvis area.
I don't have any pain when urinating, etc.
It could be IC or bladder issues. Lyme loves the bladder. But it could also be lower bowel / IBS / Cramp issues. It seems I've been very crampy lately. Or it could be prostatitis or prostrate.
It isn't bad. Just noticeable.

If you notice flaring during acid foods. You might want to try Prelief.

bladder issues were definitely present with my DD before and after being diagnozed with bartonella. Before treatment, the symptoms got so bad that there was loss of bladder control.
Those symptoms would occasionally worsen during bartonella treatment. But at least it meant that we were onto something.
The latest bartonella weapon we've had success with is Beyond Balance Bar-2. Strong stuff that really works. Worked much better than rifampin, since you can titer down to just the right dose that your body can handle without causing excessive die-off.
