I am not surprised! Even though these spiders are probably harmless, you just never know. I always said there is 1001 ways to die in Australia. I reckon that is true. I lived there 6 years. There is Lyme there. The bird mites carry it.

The spiders always want to take over everything! My eyes were always looking at the edges of the carpets, the ceiling, and well everywhere. I never sat down on ANY garden furniture without flipping it over and picking spider eggs out of the crevices. Ack! Hated that part! But, LOVED it there otherwise.

I used to give my kids the job to go knock down spider webs on the outside of the house. My one daughter said she wanted Hazard Pay!

i try so hard to not think conspiracy but once a friend had ticks fall on a boat she was on way out in the ocean...a cloud of them not just one from a bird

that is strange. Was there a flock of birds flying overhead? A cloud of ticks fall from the sky out in the ocean. Wow!

I live in southern Indiana, and I have experienced ticks falling from trees in our national forest. I really think southern Indiana has got to be as bad as New England in the population of ticks.

Kayak, I would love to hear more about the cloud of ticks. There must have been a flock of birds and the birds must have been covered with ticks.
