I've been having severe muscle pain for four years now despite abx treatment including treating for Bart and babs. I just feel like giving up I've tried so many different protocols iv, rife, ozone, idk what to do now. I don't even know if I have Lyme and co infections anymore because I've honestly only gotten maybe 20% better in the past years of treating with abx. Most days I wake up and the first thing I notice is the severe pain and everything is just such a struggle I don't enjoy anything anymore I just feel like I don't have much fight in me anymore and I have no desire to keep going. If anyone has any ideas of what the hell is going on and why I'm not getting better if appreciate it. Right now I have about twenty knots in my back that are killing me and I can't afford To even get a massage and even if I could they would be back again in two days

Hi - I am also in a lot of pain. The end of the rope kind of pain. I had an appt. with my LLMD yesterday. The drive into town and back about killed me. Me - being the passenger - just killed my back with stopping, starting, turning. I now hate riding in cars. As a passenger.
Anyway, I don't want to take pain meds - meaning the serious Rx pain meds. My insides too torn up from swallowing pills. My muscles too sore for more injections. Topical applications not doing enough. I now have IV access via a saline lock. I asked for some things IV - that I have never been able to do before. Anti-inflammatories. Like Magnesium Sulfate IV. I just infused my first gram of that. I intend to start infusing Vitamin C and Glutathione soon. My doctor tested my magnesium levels - will see what the RBC magnesium test shows. And/or how I feel after IV mag. My doctor also tested for lactic acid. I thought that was a pretty good idea. If abnormal - don't know what the treatment would be. I do know that horses can get very sore muscles from lactic acid build-up. I need to research this in regards to humans. So - let's neither of us give up. OK? Something will help. We have to find out what it is.

I also have a lot of muscle issues..tons of scar tissue from muscle strains, trigger points all over, loose tendons and joints, pelvic instability etc.. At one point I could not stand up long enough to brush my teeth without pulling my calf muscles.. In conjunction with treatment..I found a physical therapist who was really good... Does graston technique for scar tissue, dry needling and regular pt stuff.. If not for her I would not be anywhere as mobile as I am today..I have been going for a year and I see no end to it...if you have severe muscle issues like me imho you have to find an expert physical therapist..took me 5 or 6 therapists before I found this one.

Mornings are so terrible for almost everyone I know with this illness. If I didn't have Kratom, I'd never be able to move in the mornings. They're the worst.

My muscles are always painful if I push on them - especially my bicep area and thighs. This symptom has not improved despite 3 years of treatment.
I believe it has to do with lack of oxygen getting to the muscles and I too am looking for the key thing that will help me breakthrough in this area.
I know the shoemaker has helped some with this as well as hbot for others. Have you done either of these?
Keep the faith. I am praying for scientific breakthroughs in this area.

My PT was telling me that oxygen flow was poor in my legs. In my case it was a ton of scar tissue, knots and muscle damage. She broke down the scar tissue on and off for literally a year and my thigh is in much better shape because of it...now onto my feet, calves etc.. Oh and then the other leg..

for muscle I think magnesium has helped me. I take pretty much
and also for muscle pain- A huge amount of what I thought was pain was actually fatigue. it feels like muscle is coming off of your bones sort of or that you just arm wrestled 10 sumo wrestlers in the olympics- and all that just from turning a cap on a water bottle!!!
so I am not sure what your muscle pain is exactly, but taking a adrenal suppliment daily really helps with that fatigue pain.
so that is what I do for muscle and both seem to work for me. I do have problems utilizing calcium also, but not sure what to do about that so I totally avoid it when possible (in dairy form) as if I eat even a small amount of ice cream or cheese I get wicked leg cramps. I am talking disfiguring , screaming pain, wanna chop legs off cramps. not charlie horse or anything like that.
other pain in my body... well I am working on that. started a higher dose of curcumin. the manufacturer told me that it takes like 3 months for the benefits to kick in , so I am still waiting to see.
I live in a state that is trying to get medical cannabis , so maybe one day I can try that

There are nutrient deficiencies that can cause pain. There are also parasites and co infections. I used to have so much back pain, calf pain etc. Slowly treating parasites has given me relief, especially back and calf. It's amazing to me how these critters can go everywhere!
PEMF therapy also helps with pain. It has saved me many times. I keep a Sota magnetic pulser (no affiliation) on hand to use if something is hurting. It reduces pain (pulled muscle, calves, etc). It's worth having when nothing else works. It doesn't cure it but it sure does reduce the pain.
I also get ondamed (no affiliation). It has pulled me through herxes and all sorts of issues related to lyme and company. It actually helps repair what's not working properly (cells/meridians). Once it repairs the road blocks, I feel much better. The bugs hate PEMF frequencies.

Very sorry to hear!! Don't give up! I would be sure to take tons of high quality magnesium. I get the most benefit out of a product called ReMag. I also take ReLyte for the other electrolytes.
You need to balance all of your minerals.
Low thyroid could also be a factor in your pain.

There is hope. I had horrific overall muscle pain for 10+ years and just figured it was never going to get better after 3 years of lyme treatment and not much improvement. IM ceftriaxone was the turning point for me.
I am currently in a babs/lyme relapse and pain comes back on doxy and in fact right now pain is almost as bad as it used to be.
What I have learned is that inflammation = greatly increased pain. There are lots of herbs that help with inflammation.
Some of us need substantial help to detox from die-off which is why herxes bring a great deal of pain.
I KNOW from my experience that I can get rid of most of the pain. I don't know for sure but I strongly suspect that the pain will go for most when the inflammation is under control. If not, keep looking.
Search for help with detox on this site, also inflammation.
Don't give up, you can do it!
