- Welcome, although sorry for what has brought you to this discussion café.
As you just posted yesterday to find a LLMD, it seems somewhat logical to think you are not yet on a protocol to address lyme just yet, however, you could still be on various Rx that can trigger vertigo / dizziness.
And, lyme, itself can do that.
I suggest first checking any new Rx or OTC you might be taking to see about side effects.
Some of the Rx can also cause dizziness so - in order to help prevent that - LIVER SUPPORT is actually very helpful, along with GINGER capsules.
Generally, we think of liver support to help with Rx treatment, however, because lyme (and other things) can also really affect the liver, you may want to go ahead with some liver support such as
MILK THISTLE while you arrange for a LLMD appointment for full assessment. Milk Thistle is solely for support, not a direct action against lyme. -

- GINGER CAPSULES can help relieve nausea and dizziness. But it needs to be kept up at a therapeutic dose that only the capsules seem to provide. Although the tea can help a bit.
Take Ginger Capsules a couple hours away from Rx. It has some antioxidant properties and it may speed Rx through too fast if taken at the same time.

- FOOTWEAR and safety when walking.
Ask your current doctor to refer you to a vestibular therapist. It might be wise to see an inner ear specialist but since lyme seems to be likely for you, I suggest first seeing a LLMD since lyme is so connected to balance issues.
Then, after assessment, that LLMD can refer you to an inner ear specialist - one who is at least somewhat lyme literate - if so needed.
There is a certain kind of vertigo described in the EAR THREAD where the EPLEY MANUEVER can help but that is for just one kind. You can read more about it there.
However, in the mean time, you need some instruction, in person, of ways to help with balance safety.
There are some tricks such as looking at the floor where you are going -- but then we also need to be mindful of what's going on north of the floor and we can't have our neck looking down all the time.
Shoes, of course by now, you've likely figured out must - must - be practical and offer sure support with every step and mis-step.
Even when you are at home, wear shoes, no flip flops. Have a dedicated pair just for in the house if you prefer clean soles.
I like Merrell clogs as they are easy to slip off but do stay on feet going down stairs. They have a low back but it's a nice hugging low back, unlike many other kinds. -

- QI GONG (Chi Gong) is an excellent mild exercise that has wonderful deep results with balance. It's similar to Tai Chi but Tai Chi requires far more turning of the head and side ways traveling -- not ideal for a start.
You might see if you have a class near you. There are some kinds that are bit more militaristic so be sure to find a form that is for healing and strength.
Soaring Crane is one such form. -

- If you are consuming any aspartame, if you stop that, you might find the dizziness lifts (at least a bit). Aspartame caused me to fall so often long ago before I had any idea it could do that. While stopping it did not solve all my problems, it sure did help a great deal while I could sort out all the lyme issues.
Those with lyme are far - far - more sensitive to aspartame.

- When feel it coming on, lie down.
There could be some kinds of low blood pressure stuff happening if you get dizzy while standing. Listen to what your body needs and don't delay in lying down if you feel that need. -
