20 year old daughter. Eats no vegetables. Processed foods, restaurant foods in abundance. Not overweight. Has headaches and tongue fissures. Ex-lyme. Any recommendations so appreciated. Thanks loads

Pure Encapsulations Nutrient 950

http://www.pureencapsulations.com/nutrient-950r.html

I edited the link. There are several nutrient 950 varieties made by Pure Encapsulations and this is the one I wanted to suggest.

Just looked it up Abxnomore. Thank you. Do you take this, and if so, how many a day? 4-6 is a lot for my daughter in the way of her commitment. If we took one a day, I wonder if it would do anything.

Well the content of each vitamin/mineral is high when you take six but I don't think one gives you much. I guess you can compare it to other multi vitamins to see just how much you would get by taking only one.

I take four daily, but I no longer have lyme disease. She could take three, two times a day. I think if she has lyme disease she needs a potent multi.

This is another good brand. Scroll down to the "M" section and they offer several Multi/Mineral supplements. Maybe you can compare them to see which one is similar to Nutrient 950 and how many capsules one needs to ingest to get the same or similar amont of vitamins/minerals.

Thank you. So glad you no longer have lyme. What worked for you, if you have time to elaborate. Well wishes.

Abxnomore - what did you do to get rid of your Lyme disease? Treatments you did, etc.

The thing is that vitamins MUST be taken with substantial food in the stomach, especially if they contain B3 (niacin). Even just a banana is not enough for some vitamins that can cause cramping in the gut and nausea with too little food to mix with.

And vitamins, alone, will not guard against ill health. The antioxidants, the other nutrients and the actually bulk of vegetables and fruits are much more than what can fit inside of any amount of pills.

I hope she might come to enjoy some vegetables and fruits, too. Our brains really need all those colors, all that fresh goodness.

I received an experimental treatment in Italy called ICHT in 2003. It is no longer available and has not been for many years.

All multi-vitamins should be taken with food for many reasons but especially for maximum absorption. Pure Encapsulations instructs that Nutrient 950 be taken with meals on their label.

Abxnomore - so the ICTH cured you and not antibiotics?
How long did you have Lyme Disease before you were treated?
How long did you treat for?
I always learn from what others have done.
Thanks!!😊

PS - i have to keep editing this because it spellchecks my words and changes them!

Thanks Abx and Keebler. I will definitely tell her to take her vitamin with food. She really doesn't realise how important nutrition is. That's why she doesn't seem to care. She's so busy too. A RA, TA, life guard and swim instructor.

I had Lyme, Babesia and bartonella for over 14 years undiagnosed. I did very aggressive ABX and anti-malaria medications both IV and orals in many different combinations along with tons of supplements, candida treatment, removal of heavy metals, parasite treatment, a healthy diet etc., left no stone unturned and made some progress in my three plus years of treatment but not enough to really function very well. I also did about 25 dives of traditional HBO therapy. I saw some of the best LLMD's at the time.

Yes, the ICHT which was given along with IV ABX and oral medications cured me.

edited to add HBO therapy.

We take Mitocore by Ortho Molecular Products. You can buy it at Pureformulas.com

It was receommended by Dr. H who I took my son to see. These vitamins where produced specifically for AIDS patients to increase their immune system.

This is the only thing we take now. They are a bit expensive, but I think are worth it. My son is 11 and eats no vegetables or fruit either so I make sure he takes these. Hopefully he will grow out of this stage.

Thank you KH111! I will look them up. Seems promising. At 11 there is still an option to sneak vegis in by blending them into sauces and such. I bought a cookbook for this reason, but truth is, I never used it. It was just easier to steam and set next to the meat. It's harder now that she eats on her own.

I will look it up now. Thanks much.
