Nine years post Lyme (after what seemed to be aggressive & successful treatment), just pulled a slightly engorged tick off my leg... Was happy to be out of the Lyme loop! Happy teacher summer vacation to me! Doc gave me only 2 100 mg doses of doxy. Please help! I believe I need either a month of regular dose OR 2 weeks of double dose. Am I on the right track? Trying not to freak out-

VERY sorry to hear, susie!! Can you try an Urgent Care for more meds?

I personally would want 200mg twice a day for 4-6 wks.

XXOO- Thanks for the speedy response- just knew you'd be there for me! I will call my doc tomorrow again- he let me take the lead last time when I consulted with a doc from PA b/c they were way ahead of the LD curve. Had such a crappy school year...Doxy doses = zero pool time & no summer tan...BOO!

I hope the no pool time will be the worst part!!

Keep us posted! Don't forget to take the doxy in the middle of a full meal and don't lie down for 30-60 min.
