Hi all. I had a 'yeast culture' stool test done at Labcorp and it came back negative.

I have been off antibiotics for a couple months and treating candida with probiotics, diet and supplements. Could it really be gone so soon?

I still have a white film on my tongue and a toenail fungus.

I really thought Candida was what was plaguing me.

Any ideas? Anyone ever used this test?

I wouldn't put to much stock into yeast test results.

Ive had a couple of negative stool test and yet Im sure I have a major yeast problem.

Your reaction to sugars and carbs and also anti-fungals should tell you if you have a yeast problem, along with your symptoms.

Ditto to shoeless joe's reply.

If you have a white film on your tongue, that is some kind of fungal overgrowth.

Toenail fungus, speaks for itself, a fungal overgrowth.

In addition to probiotics, OLE cured (SEAGATE is the only one I can recommend for capsules to be sure no fillers, clean products, etc.) - yes, cured me of candida / fungal overgrowth. Of course, we all will always have some, and need some but not overgrowth.

But, it took 16 capsules a day. And now, they have a very nice glycerine tincture to use for the mouth and let it soak in.

Tea Tree Oil on the toenail might be good in addition to systemic treatment.

Thanks for your replies -- much appreciated!

Keebler, very interesting about the OLE. Unfortunately I have a problem with OLE causing headaches. Also oregano oil, berberine and GSE. Caprylic acid seems okay.

Anyone know of any anti-yeast supplements that are not likely to cause headaches?

Andgrographis? It has a sedative property, though it can make you sleepy during the day.

Coptis is good. It contains berberine but is much more complex than just that and should be more easily tolerated.

Both above are cooler herbs, good for summertime, too.

Wow, you can tolerate capryclic acid? That was like chlorox to me.

The BRAND of OLE can matter, too. Many are not pure, so do consider that.

Oregano oil can be rough but GelCaps are easier, just in case that helps.

Headaches could be a die-off reaction, though. Maybe lower doses when you get a headache from something / and more water, stretched out over time, not all at once, though.

Coconut oil, organic, raw might help the mouth.
