i had lyme for about a year before starting antibiotics.

How long after starting antibiotics can one expect to have less fatigue and think without deep dense brain fog?

I've been on them two months so far.

I was in a store today and a man much older than me walked by and told me,
"You look reaaaallly tired!"

lol

When I went on antibiotics, my fatigue and brain fog lifted really quickly - in a few days.

It's probably one of those things that are different for everyone. So many things can contribute to brain fog and fatigue, hitting infections with the right antibiotics may be just a small part of it.

I got some improvement a few months after I began multiple antibiotics, and once I added treatment for parasites. A full year into treatment, and I am just starting to see some more improvements in cognitive function. It is very slow going for me, but I went undiagnosed probably 10 years or more and had a lot of neuro sx to begin with.

Mine took a long, long time, and it was very gradual.

Sometimes it was so gradual that I didn't even notice the improvements but my husband did. And sometimes it is two steps forward, one step back.

I did find that these two things were the hardest to get rid of - in fact they are not completely gone for me even now. Other things went away much much more quickly.

For most patients it takes a long time. Also look to candida as a cause for the brain fog .. and/or mold issues.

Not at all intended to discourage but it is important to know that even with the best treatment plan and the best support and self care, brain fog and fatigue can take a very long to clear for many with lyme. Some things can help just don't expect too much or push too hard.

Antioxidants often help clear the brain. Most liver support herbs are rich in antioxidants.

Going gluten-free also usually helps a great deal (and also dairy-free for many)

LIVER & KIDNEY SUPPORT & and several HERXHEIMER support links, too.

Thank you each and all for your replies as
It gives me hope it may eventually go away.

The llmd addressed my candida first then the three antibiotics as well as numerous supplements as well as gluten free, sugar free.

The regimen has worked great for the candida and I haven't had any problems with the antibiotics....just can't wait till I can think again.

I am also being treated for mercury and lead and maybe that is why it is slow going?

Thank you again for the help...I will reread these comments for reassurance when I need it!
