If you eat carbohydrates and then feel tired and foggy or you feel bloated after a few bites of food or even a few sips of water, you could have candida.

Or, you have recurrent vaginal yeast infections or thrush.

If you suspect you have candida do not consume fermented foods or drinks. My llmd has told me this repeatedly and I stayed off the candida train for years until I succumbed to advice from various sources to consume fermented foods.

When I did this it put me over the edge and I ended up with candida. Best to get your beneficial bacteria from a high quality probiotic that includes a lot of acidophilus and bifido bacteria as these are utilized by the small and large intestine.

If its bad I would start with increasing probiotics a lot for a few days, then add in Diflucan if you can. If you can't get a script then add caprylic acid soft gels which is amazing for candida.

You could also do a short coconut oil cleanse if you are inclined.

Solaray yeast cleanse is a good product to alternate into the mix also as is oregano oil.

Consume a very low carbohydrate candida diet.

Go on Diflucan until symptoms stop. No sugar of any kind. No breads. Take probiotics.

There are herbal supplements that target candida but depending on how bad you have it, sometimes an RX is necessary. This is from my LLMD on yeast.

1)Do not eat sweets of any kind or drink alcohol. Avoid products with preservatives or made with white flour. Eat just wholesome whole foods like protein sources, vegetables and quinoa. Avoid all bread, crackers and pasta and for now even avoid fruit although you will add this back in later.

2)Drink Kombucha tea and/or water with vinegar or lemon juice in it.

3)Take 1/3 pkt (9 gms) of Lufenuron per day for 3 days. Mix the powder with fatty food (guacamole, non-sweetened peanut butter). Stay off for 11 days and then repeat. Don’t get the Lufenuron made in China. Buy here: http://shop.owndoc.com/product-info.php?lufenuron-pid170.html

4)Take NOW’s Caprylic Acid 600mg three times a day with meals.

5)Antifungal herbs to add include: NOW’s Olive leaf extract, two twice a day; NOW’s Oregano Oil Softgels 3/day and Berberine (400-500mg twice a day). Amazon has these products. Use at least one of these.

I couldn't tolerate any of the supplements and ended up on Diflucan.

I know candida messes up the way you work, but what are the most common physical symptoms? like rectal itching? burning? stuff like that.... does your entire body skin itch too? do certain foods give you a sort of diaper rash? or is that not from yeast?

if you are a woman, does it give you yeast infectinos? or is that a different kind of candida?
