I am on 1500 mg daily mepron and 500 mg azithromycin to treat babesia duncani and microti - my LLMD has now told me to add 100mg artemisinin x 2 daily as a steady daily dose for the next few months. I have read so many different suggestions on dosing with art, if anyone could share their experience or has any good research they could point me in the direction of, I would be very grateful. I mentioned pulsing to her, but she didn't seem keen, while I read elsewhere art becomes ineffective if taken for too long. Thoughts? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Here is an old thread that gives a study on art and what happens when it is taken continuously:

I think the dosing depends in part on what else you are on. In your case, it sounds like the art is being used as an adjunct for the mepron and zith, That sounds very appropriate, since art isn't strong enough to knock out babs on its own (esp duncani) but can still be very helpful.
I think art is most likely to become ineffective when used alone, but your doc isn't doing it this way. This sounds like a great babs protocol.
