Hey guys. I've been feeling a lot better recently which i believe is due to stopping the adderall. It took a month to get out of my system completely but little by little I'm feeling better regarding the vascular, heart, rashes, stroke like symptoms etc. Of course i can't be sure it was all the adderall, cause well who knows anything and I've never in my 29 years of life been allergic or sensitive to anything but I think it was some sort of allergy. Hmmm
Update 2 my liver is my main worry. Having taking 2 years of high dose abx under Dr H, high dose fioricet for 2 and then an accident w tylenol I'm quite worried. Aftet eating or taking meds i will have a pain right under my lower right ribcage which sometimes swings to the bank or to the left where my spleen is. Having found a tiny lesion and having 'liver problem' sx, i am very worried. Luckily I'm scheduled for an mri in the near future and an endoscopy on the 23 of Dec. So we will see.
Okay so i saw my pcp and told her zithromax and doxy wouldn't rid my upper respiratory symptoms which have been plaguing me for almost 2 months now so she prescribed levaquin. I've been so nervous i held off a week before taking it - just swallowed it..and am a bit panicked. Okay very panicked. Only because my skin and body had been so sensitive lately. Any advice or experiences are greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys!

My enzymes are 14 14 now and liver panel checked out fine so keeping fingers crossed.
Unfortunately no. Dr said it's the best for the liver and i really need this knocked out. I took an epson bath before taking my first dose. I just really need to know what to expect, what to look out for (of course besides aching joints) and how much magnesium i should take. And yes I already did do a search.
Thanks lymetoo and anyone else who might offer some words/guidance
Other meds I'm taking - namenda, klonopin, and toradol

Don't want to scare you, but you may want to consider the toradol you are taking while on levaquin. Taking an NSAID alongside a fluoroquinolone may increase the incidence of side effects.

With the persistent upper respiratory sx, may consider testing for cpn or mycoplasma.
cpnhelp.org has been a wonderful resource for me (recommended by the wise Keebler!)
I am sensitive to LOTS of stuff and have done ok on Levaquin (although it didn't knock out the cpn for good). We are all so different. I'm not discounting the very real and very bad experiences others have had with Levaquin, just saying that we are all so different that one person's kryptonite could be fine for you.

Oil mag ! And i was just thinking of a way to turn epson salt into a cream lol picking that up tomorrow thanks!
Sf thanks! Actually didn't take my toradol today. Guess somewhere in the back of my head I knew it wasn't a great idea
And WP I'll ask my doc to test me for that. My grandmother suffered lung issues from 30 till her dying day and I im just like her in every way so perhaps it's that. Hopefully not though as prior to this I've never had a the slightest respiratory issue so ill def check those viruses out. Is that what they are? Thanks (:
Just took my second pill. Feel more clear headed which is lovely, had very slight tingling throughout body last night, nose a bit more stuffy, throat no longer hurts, some sharp pains in throat area last night tho. Those are the changes I've noticed while on it. Infection still there of course but seems to be changing it's course. Like the cough has changed and idk only been a day lol keep yall updated. Thx!

Don't to it. See top thread.
The FDA just had a hearing about it 2 weeks ago and is changing the label again with harsher warnings.
Mag made no difference for me. Levaquin is a chemo drug.

If you have ANY unusual pain. Stop the drug.
On day 7 I was sitting eating breakfast and got a random pain in my Achilles that came and went. I wasn't doing ANYTHING.
On day 8 after the next pill, I couldn't walk.

Glad you are feeling a little better. You probably know this, but no exercise while on Levaquin!

Are you having bronchitis -like symptoms? Have they tried breathing treatments/nebulizer to help clear the mucus if that is what it is? I do xopenex/levobuteral breathing treatments when needed. Albuteral and things like that have higher steroid content don't mix well with me.
I don't know if this would be right for you or not, but it is a thought that you could ask your doctor about to see if it would be safer and effective?
Best wishes and happy thanksgiving!
