And BTW - what can one do when a PM is typed - trying to send - only to see that someone's box is full? Can that PM be saved until the box is cleared? Or it's lost? Mods?

It is lost unless you leave your private message page open and then send it once their mailbox has room. You can open another tab to continue to browse Lymenet in the meantime.
Otherwise you have to copy and paste your PM content to a different site (such as your email account) and then copy and paste back to your private message to send it once their mailbox has room.

I'm sorry. I hate that myself. I emptied some out. I've had that happen recently and it saved my message. I don't remember where though. I was surprised as I always lost the entire message.
I, when I remember, copy my messages to an email just in case. Again. I'm sorry. it's cleared out now.
