I suspect this symptom of mine is a babesia duncani herx, but I'd really like to know for sure.
It's the dizziness, standing on a tippy boat feeling. It's worse when I'm exerting myself. It's also strangely worse if I'm straining my eyes to look sideways.
The thing is I only seem to get it with chloroquine. I've been experiencing it over the last 4.5 months, and if I take a higher dose the symptom gets worse. There are a few other factors that influence the symptom such as energy level and toxicity, but they don't seem to shed any light on whether the symptom is due to drug toxicity or die-off.
You see when I'm toxic (mycotoxins, etc) drugs will not work in my system. It's as if my immune system is blocking them from working. To give you an example, I can take and handful of clonazepam and not feel the slightest bit sedated. I can do the same with opioids and not get the slightest buzz. But when I'm less toxic the drugs will work fine. Another example is with quinine; while not too toxic I get the nasty ear symptoms, but if I'm toxic I get none of this.
It may be this phenomenon of drugs not taking effect might have something to do with microcirculation or even the blood-brain-barrier. I haven't yet been able to figure this out.
So I'm wondering if anybody else has experienced this with chloroquine, or knows for sure that dizziness is a common babesia DIE-OFF symptom.
Thanks for any help with this.

I have Babesia herxes and I get the swimmy- head feeling. I don't take the same meds, but my Babs herxes do all sorts of weird things to my head.

Geronimog, I do think you are right and so does dr. K. A toxic body cannot heal, NO MATTER how many killers you take.
Not many people seem to believe or understand that and keep adding killers, and NOT improving.
For me, it is obvious that the effect of adding killers to a toxic body is even OPPOSITE: I will go backwards, downwards instead of improving.
No way to have a FUNCTIONING immune system if your body is extremely toxic. If your immune system starts killing more, there will be more toxic garbage out (from die off itself, even if there aren't classical 'herxes').
The body is not suicidal, so it will stop killing in order to let cells survive.
Dr. K. also says that the severity of lyme disease symptoms is SYMMETRICAL to the amount of toxins in a patient: the more toxic, the more symptoms, the sicker the patient.
The equation then becomes simple: detox or stop improving.
Many LLMDs know nothing about detox. Many lyme patients will remain only on that killing mode forever.
The immune system will only work if you give it nourishment, take away stress and toxins. That is only my opinion.
At first, my treatment was 10% support and detox + 90% killers and immune stimulators.
After I almost died due to a bad herx, I changed and after a couple of months, I was taking 90% of detox / support / nourishment supplements and treatments + 5% of killers + some 5% of some other immuno- remedies.
Approximately that ration, with some light variations...
That type of ratio remained until the end of my lyme treatment, and that ratio led me to a 'cure' (let's say, remission, for the last 6.5 years).
-------------------------------
A last sentence from dr. K is that:
you do certain things to the body, and then suddenly the same remedy that didn't work before start to work.
I've seen that HUNDREDS of times.
It's more than obvious for me that taking away stressing elements (toxins, electrosmog, stress, sadness, even some pathogens like Borrelia, or Babesia) will help the body come back to 'normality', slowly, but surely.
The same herb or supplement or remedy that didn't work before, but needed to be taken in high amounts and in crazy combinations, start to work, sometimes even as a single bullet treatment for certain problems.

I have the boat-rocking feeling 24/7. It's ALWAYS there. Though severity varies. I can never tell whether it's a flare, herx, die-off ... Sometimes it gets brutally bad when I add new meds or change the dosage of a med. But it never goes away. It is my most debilitating symptom, and yes, it does get worse when I look sideways. When I, for example, talk to someone who is sitting next to me and I have to turn my head sideways to look at them.
I have babesia duncani.

this could be, but I htink it could also be other things, like candida? or something else.
mine got better with treatment, but I also have inner ear issues which could be contributing.
