Just found this:

I had a feeling about this - that it should be possible - soon we will know:

Cefriaxone (Rocephin) and Ertapenem (Invanz).

Will be interesting.

Wonder how Cef. would feel SubQ vs IM.

I def. know how it feels IM when the Lido wears off.

I have an idea how it might feel SubQ with Lido.
(I might not have gotten into muscle a few DorsalGlut injections). (Weighing only 95 lbs -
I think even a 1/2" needle would hit muscle...).
(I use 1" needles).

Anyway......I have been trying to envision what the "pump" or "patch" ?? would look like.

And......it could not be cheaper than doing an IM injection. (self mixing - self injecting). (but normal people don't do that - only Lymies).

I am interested in Abx more for resp. infections.
Would rather inject than swallow pills.
Cef. IM just too painful though.

SubQ Amoxi would be nice - maybe........

Would love to see prototypes of whatever the delivery system is.

(I doubt it's as simple as Iontophoresis - meds squirted on a sticky patch - and pulsed through skin).

Hmm.....also - this could lead to other meds going SubQ?

I was under the impression that the size of the molecule was what prevented a lot of meds from being done this way. Wonder how they are getting around the problem.

Yes, the link you posted does mention other meds next. And thanks for posting this. Will keep our fingers crossed that it works.

What do you mean about "how it feels?" Sounds like it would be painful.
