My saga continues.

Today is probably the worst I've felt since crashing in December.

Really awful head pressure, foggy feeling, ringing ears, sinus pressure / post nasal drip, weird vision. This along with hot flashes, sweaty, twitches, worse tinnitus, back of head pain, top of head pressure, etc.

There were only 3 things that happened in the past 24 hours that could have caused this.

1)I had the stomach flu, or a big herx from Liposomal Artemisinin and was sick in bed with fever on Tuesday afternoon / Wednesday morning. Other than this my head felt good.

2)I stopped my Rifampin yesterday when I had the stomach flu. Last dose was yesterday morning. It has now been 24 hours since Rifampin. Do relapses happen this quickly? I'm still on minocycline, Ivermectin, and Artemisinin.

3)I upped my dose of Liposomal Artemisinin to 3 capsules per day this am (2 in the AM, 1 in the PM). Flare happened about 2 hours after taking the artemisinin.

I hate the way I feel. The preivous weeks, it was bothersome and now it is more problematic.

I NEED IT TO GO AWAY.

What causes head pressure, tinnitus, sinus/post-nasal drip, top of head pressure, back of head pressure, brain fog, etc?

Seems many of my symptoms are like Protomyxzoa. Or some could be Bart, or Babs (or Both.)

I've also read about sphenoid sinus infections which could cause most of the head stuff. I don't know why I would have this, but perhaps I do. Maybe it is fungal. When I was on abx from August - December I didn't even try to control my diet, although I was on antifungals.

So sad and scared. I need this to clear up soon otherwise I worry work will be impacted.

I've never tried Artemisinin but found these couple of (sites - with post), and some of them had the side affects your having.

Also, you should read this whole-site.

This cold weather is killing me, I don't do well in the winter months...

Feel better,

THanks Steve.

I hope it is a herx from the ARtemisinin. I've been on it before, and I've herxed before on it, but not quite like this.

What I worry is it is somehow due to me stopping Rifampin. I worry that whatever intracellular bug (if it is intracellular) that Rifampin is hitting is relapsing. Bart, Brucella, CPN.

I'm still on Mino though so not sure how this could happen.

I HATE IT. I am going to give it 3-4 days and if no change I may have to restart Rifampin.

For me, it's caused by food intolerances.

Could be, Lymetoo.

I'm seeing a new Applied Kinesiologist in NYC in 3 weeks who will be testing me for that. She is really good and helped get a friend of mine with 5 years disabled/neuro lyme from bedbound to >80% in 8 months and he is expected to make a full recovery.

She has people eliminate food they aren't tolerant of.

It sounds like both going off rifampin and also upping artemsinin might have something to do with it. Also what have you been eating? That may have something to do with it too.

Your symptoms might be a mix of the three Bs (babs, BB, bart), and also PR.

Hang in there, you can do this!

I know it is so discouraging, bcb. Glad you are going to that kinesiologist. Maybe she will help you figure things out. You certainly don't give up and you will find your way, with your perseverance and persistence! I know this must be incredibly hard when you are the bread winner and needing to be strong for everyone.

What you describe you are going through seems so similar to my experience. It is more psychologically disturbing than physically disabling. Invisible so most of the time, others have no clue what I am going through.

So hopefully, the people at work do not realize. But of course, it is exhausting putting up a good front, and with the brain fog, everything must be such an effort.

I thank God every day for things that still give me pleasure, like spending time with my beloved little granddaughter - who, in the moment, makes me forget about this horrid disease. Hoping you have a few pleasures in your life to allow you to forget about your illness once in a while.

It is easy to become obsessed with these horrid symptoms to the point of no longer being able to enjoy anything in life. The disease does this to you! Maybe you can start dreaming about a summer excursion with your family or plan something fun to do this spring with your family to distract you and allow you to get some good endorphins working on your behalf...

Thanks all. Feeling better today. Not great, mind you, but better than yesterday's terrible feeling. It was probably the worst head pressure I"ve had in years.

If it is better today than I'm hopeful it is due to the ramp up of the Liposomal Artemisinin versus stopping the Rifampin.

Lymetoo...what food intolerances have caused symptoms like mine for you? How did you get them to go away?

I'm no doctor but it sounds to me that your body is telling you that you're taking too many things at once and that maybe you should talk to your doctor about temporarily dropping back from a few.

Personally, I don't take herbs at the same time I'm taking traditional medicine. I usually drop herbs and homeopathics if I have to go on an antibiotic or other "Doctor" med.
