Does anyone here think their herxes are like suddenly becoming a zombie?

I'm sort of okay on a higher dose of mino, physically. Usually when I raise the dose I get a day or two of tinnitus that subsides and generally no real improvement in any other physical symptom.

But mentally, I am so checked out there are no words for it. I can only think of one thing at once. It's like someone hit me with a cartoon frying pan.

Does anybody else have this -- or did they have it and does it get better?

Oh -- also I have, periodically, just a wave of misery. It's not coming from any physical place, it's just a sense of feeling really really awful that comes and goes. Normal?

What i have learned to accept as normal is atrocious. ..i started uping some tinadazole with my herbs and bee venom and totally relate to frying pan daze.

I dont know if i am getting worse or in a costanst herx..little of both...

Keebs just posted on other mino thread about vestibular toxicity. ..maybe that the tinnitus? ...

my mino should be coming soon just in time for summer sun....you are doing" good" did you get an epipen? 4full stings on the dome cleared fog for a whole day

bluelyme,

Thanks for mentioning that. Anyone can feel free to have this link on hand and post as you see fit. I do wish I could streamline it but I just can't. Still, with some scrolling, the important detail is here:

The feeling awful during treatment is not always a herx, but the state of being ill with multiple infections. Even with treatment, the body is still under great pressure on-going.

Liver support, excellent nutrients, ENOUGH food, nurturing . . . it all matters. And it's never enough but just hold on. Your LLMD is your best source to consult for if your plan is on target.

Also consider OTHER Rx you might be taking. So many can have harsh effects for those with all the stressors on the body as those of TBD.

I did get an epipen!

Now I just have to get some bees. I'm putting it off because I want to get to a good drug level. Apparently venom herxes are intense.

I just keep increasing what it seems like I can tolerate. I was really afraid to up the mino, but being stupid and having tinnitus aren't worse than what I've been through so far.

The tinnitus isn't terrible. It's just really hard to sleep on those days.

Thanks Keebler. Like I said it really doesn't feel that much different than it did before I started abx. So far anyway.

I don't think the tinnitus is from the mino. It's been a symptom of mine for a while. I've been taking extra milk thistle though on your recommendation [Smile]

Sometimes, the feeling awful isn't a herx and can be an intolerance to that med. Not everyone can tolerate mino (or you could insert almost any other drug here). I had to go off of it. Perhaps try another med if you feel this awful on mino. There is always another way to skin the cat.

Ugh, I don't want to fail mino. The idea of microscopic worms in my brain gives me the jeebies.

I can be pretty accommodating about every other organ, I think. But since it's my brain, I'll give the best brain drug the shot it deserves.

I can feel it everywhere else, too, bubbling all the way down to my toes. It's like, half excruciating and half fascinating. What I hope I guess is that I never feel this bad again.
