I knew I had Lyme and from research, I think I have Bartonella too. I cannot wait to see my LLMD.

It is in September with the LLMD in Missouri. My GP almost fell out of her chair because she thought I was crazy. But a part of me feels like she still doesn't believe it, which is sad.

Well, at least you got an answer. It's typical, unfortunately for doctors not to be educated about it. I suggest you learn about it at this point, in order to understand it better, to understand treatment, and to be able to discuss it with others.

Lots of info at the top of Medical Questions here. You can also use the Search function at the top of the page to type in any word or phrase and archived threads will come up. Just know we're all different in how we respond to anything.

Treatment for Lyme occurs in three areas - kill/deter the organism, detox, and fortify the body.

Get on his cancellation list .. you could be called within weeks if you are close by and can get there ASAP.

Possible to find an integrative MD in the interim? I always suggest this because often they are more informed and open minded about Lyme and can be a good bridge while you wait for the LLMD.

Sorry you have Lyme but at least you know. The worst part of my Lyme journey was the part pre-diagnosis.

I would just start treating it.

You can get the Buhner top three herbs from Amazon or doxy and tindamax elsewhere.

The denial is incredible.

A doctor I had worked with for 10 years couldn't believe I had a CDC positive Lyme test either when I told her.

I was questioned if it was "that lab" (i.e. Igenex) where everyone tests positive. It was actually Labcorp for me.

I still got a tone of disbelief.

This doc also thought my EM rash was a spider bite.

What is your opinion?

I would say I definitely have it. But I am not sure what stage of Lyme I am dealing with. I had the rash last year, but my symptoms have been going on since before then.

Plus, I am confused about the IGM being considered a recent infection. I am sure I read that the Igm is usually positive versus the IGg in late Lyme patients even if you have been sick longer than 30 days. Is that correct? That it is common to have a positive IGm not IGG when you have been sick over a year?

My GP fired me today. I had an appointment with her today to receive her interpretation (even though I already knew how to read them myself) of the results. She didn't say much, just asked me what I thought of them, which I found strange that she asked me how I read them.

After I told her what the bands are and what they mean and that it's possible for the Igm to be positive even if symptoms are >30 days. (Which I hope I'm right about) she just listened and said that she will not give me Doxycycline, because since Iam of child bearing age, there are side effects with the child later having green teeth?? She prescribed 30 days of Amoxicilln prior to today's appointment, which I have taken and it didn't help.

She said that there is nothing else she can do, and fired me. Also this is the same GP that I showed my EM rash to last year and it was mis-diagnosed by her. Now I have proved that I do have Lyme, and she fires me? I am so taken aback by it. It's so mean, and cruel.
