A month or so back I had what appeared to be a bruise on the inside of my leg just above the knee. I really only noticed it because it hurt - took a good look at it and it was all the red/purple colors of a bruise. There was a dot in the center, but it wasn't clear if it was a bite mark or not.

As the 'bruise' went away there was a red circle remaining.

I thought it was odd because I didn't remember hitting that part of my leg - I should have remembered something that left that big of a bruise.

I now have the anxiety and air hunger that are clear symptoms of babesia. Naturally, I'm wondering if I got bit again.

So personal histories welcome. Did your 'bullseye' feel like a bruise, or was it just there for display but didn't really hurt?

I noticed mine because it started out like a hive. It itched and that is how it got my attention.

Then, it turned into the large, red rash and didn't hurt at all. There was a dot in the center of the red rash. My lyme doc called that "ground zero." That dot remained for at least 2 months.

Might hurt like HELL. It also itched.

One doctor thought it was a spider bite. It was big, swollen and nasty.

The rash was on the outside of my arm. My friend brushed against my arm while walking by and the pain was so bad, I cringed.

On a whim I showed another doctor the rash because I was scared it was infected. I got diagnosed with Lyme on the spot.

It started out looking like a mosquito bite, but just kept growing.
