Anyone have any ideas or ways to handle sudden crying outbursts in front of other people?

I take NAC which promotes a wonderful sense of peace and well being. Google: NAC for anxiety and depression and you'll find some amazing websites. There's one from Psychology Today and one from Web MD for instance.
If you go on Amazon and pull up NAC, look at the ingredients of each brand. Some brands contain just NAC. Other contain NAC plus other added ingredients
Then read customer feedback and see which brand people felt did the most good. I also get in touch with my spiritual side by going for walks outside and enjoying the beauty
that's all around us. Then, if you still have Lyme and Co, either go to your LLMD regularly - or - what I do is be conscientious about taking
my herbs from Buhner Healing Lyme website. I also believe that Cat's Claw which crosses the blood/brain barrier is responsible for eliminating all of
my Lyme-related psychological issues.

Help your gut in any way that you can. Custom Probiotics D-Lactate Free really helps my brain and my mood.

Thank you both.
Unfortunately, NAC doesn't work for me. I take Custom Probiotics Adult Formula.
I don't know what to do. I have to find a way to control this in certain situations.

Thanks, all.
BlueLyme-I haven't tried holy basil. I'm on a bunch of meds, some herbs, vitamins, etc., and I don't want to add anything to my body right now.
I will try and think of some happy thoughts that my mind can flash to. That is one thing to try. Thank you.

me .. The CP-1 does nothing for my "brain."
Only the D-lactate free. It will last you for months.

Me,
Are the outbursts happening because of something sad you just heard? Or something funny? Or something you'd normally cry about? Or what, if you know?
It could be that your internal "cry bucket" is overloaded from lack of use (being tough and brave thru the Lyme fight) and you need to take some time to clear it out by dealing with it and just get it over with.
It is ok to cry. Really. Let 'er rip.
I find when I am running a fever or feeling "infected" (and am infected more so than normal) that I have a similar situation.
Ran into an elderly gentleman the other day and he had on a hat that said "Veteran- World War II". Foolish me, I stopped him and asked if he was actually in WW II and he said yes.
I just looked at him in amazement and said "Thank you." Then the tears started. I nodded my head and excused myself. He smiled. He understood.
Later that same day- as luck would have it- at the recycling bins I saw another older gentleman who had a hat on that said "Veteran- Korean War & Viet Nam".
You'd think I'd have learned my lesson, but noooooooo. How quickly we forget. Sure enough I asked him the same thing I'd asked the other veteran and sure enough he said "yes".
I barely got out the words "thank you" before the faucets turned on again. He then said to ME just as sincerely... "thank YOU". I was really a wreck then! Oh my!
My point- ??? Just want you to know you aren't the only one. And if I did this ALL the time it would be one thing, but like ALL Lyme symptoms, it will go away.

Might want to have your estrogen levels checked. Sometimes without knowing they will get high and when they do it can tend to make someone more emotional.
Herxing, fevers, hormone levels, memories, etc. can all trigger crying. I'm no expert by any means, but I just looked up crying and found this article that MAY be of interest.
It ends with the statement..
"The sorrow which has no vent in tears may make other organs weep."

For whatever it's worth, taking a homeopathic remedy, pulsatilla 12x, got me high. Completely changed my emotion. I forgot I had taken a small tablet of it the night before and couldn't figure out why I was so happy! That's not the usual Lyme emotion!

Thanks TC and Robin123.
Tincup, I will just start crying. I've been more depressed lately. Sometimes, a thought might run through my head that makes me sad, and I can't hold back.
It *might* be because I started NuVigil a few weeks ago. Another member asked if any meds had changed, and that is the change.
I'm stopping NuVigil to see if that is what it is.

Yes, that sounds like depression. I hope the trial run you are doing will give you both answers and relief.
