I currently take Lisinopril 10mg for high blood pressure and it does a great job. The veins in my legs sometimes expand and look sloppy so I take a Horse Chestnut capsule to tighten them up.

I've been wondering about taking Hawthorn instead of Lisinopril - wondering if it would lower my blood pressure and pulse AND allow my veins to remain toned.

But I also have Babesia and Bartonella which also might be the culprits in causing my leg veins to expand. Bart has caused me to have more veins in my legs than I used to have.

Hi tulips, I don't know about replacing with

Hawthorn but I do know that it takes two weeks of

taking hawthorn daily for it to kick in to

therapeutic level and also, if the liver is

congested, then it can cause portal vien backup

and that could expand the veins and also

contribute to hemorrhoids. Liver cleanser of

choice for that is milk thistle.
