Just wondering if anyone out there with a penicillin allergy was able to tolerate a third-generation like ceftriaxone, cefixime, or cefpodoxime, and not get an allergic reaction?
Further, was your LLMD willing to prescribe you the medication with the stipulation that you had a 2% chance of reaction (which by the way doesn't exceed the non-PCN-allergic population for third-generation cephalosporins)?
