So, I've been on my full dose of doxy for a little over a week, along with Zithromax (3rd time on it) and plaquenil (2nd time on it), and all of last week I was exhausted.
Last night I had to work late and around 11pm started to feel shaky, got sudden sweats, and overall tired and weak. I hadn't had an appetite all day so I'd only eaten some simple carbs as that's all I could stomach.
Anyway, I didn't take my antibiotics when I got home, I just went straight to bed. When I woke up this morning, though, I felt brand new! I only started to feel tired again a few hours after taking my morning doses.
I can't figure out if not feeling well at the end of the night was due to not having had enough food, or if it could have been herxing. If it was a herx, I hope I didn't slow my progress by taking a night off the meds?
I emailed my doctor but he's not in the office again until next week... Hoping someone can help?

- First: sounds like low blood sugar from not eating much and mostly simple carbs causing a blood sugar crash.
It is vital to eat enough whole foods, five times a day (three meals, two snacks, maybe three snacks). The body really needs this fuel and your stomach needs the buffer for antibiotics not to rip it apart.
LIVER & KIDNEY SUPPORT & and several HERXHEIMER support links, too. -

- No, taking one night off from antibiotics won't derail your treatment. Best to not take and then just lie down, anyway. If you have a recliner at least try to keep your torso somewhat upright for 30 minutes after any Rx, really. Or prop yourself up just be mindful not to put spine or neck in a bad position.
Be sure no dairy or magnesium rich foods but do eat with the Rx.
good luck. -

- Caroline,
Many here have trouble reading solid blocks of test. For future posts, you might make paragraphs no more than 3 or 4 finished lines (that's about 5-6 in the compose mode).
You will have a better chance of more replies when more people can read what you write. -

- QUINOA FLAKES are something you should have on hand. They are a complex food, even if mush that is easy on the stomach and easy to prepare. -
