I have not been on this forum that much lately . been on here since 2003.
the worst herx is from bart and i mean really bad. i have been fighting this for many years and just recently started to fight bart.
if you are fighting bart go slow! the herx was so strong that it caused problems all over for me. Lyme has a different herx reaction. Bartonella is no joke and eradicating is really hard because of where it is sequestered.
i have taken rifampin before and could not get over the herx so i would always stop the rifampin. this time i stayed on it and did not stop...
i did 600 mgs but went down to 300 because the herx will be unbearable and in some cases very dangerous..cytokine storm has to be controlled.
so for all of you out there that have symptoms still after years then look at bart or babs...i like rifampin now..
btw my old posts are under another name..polar
