Hi everyone, sorry for posting every random new thing that is happening to me...but thanks, as always for the advice.
I got a couple of mosquito bites in my sleep last night. They were normal size this AM, but as of this evening they're ~1.5 inches across. I have not scratched them (they're actually not that itchy).
Having never been allergic to mosquito bites before, and recalling a wasp sting last July that swelled up a dinner-plate size area on my thigh, I am thinking my immune system is just a tad overreactive right now (no surprise).
What can I do, other than general Lyme treatment, to calm down my immune over-response? I don't want to dampen it too much, of course, but I'm not sure what I should be doing to decrease this kind of inflammation response to external stimuli.
Thanks for advice and for pointing to other posts on these types of topics.

Just curious. Have you been tested for Epstein Barr Virus?
It has been described in the literature that people with Epstein Barr- common with Lyme- can develop a super hypersensitivity to mosquito bites.
Mosquitoes are also reported to harbor Borrelia as well as a number of other disease causing organisms that cause spotted fever, west nile, malaria, dengue fever, and also viruses and parasites.

Yes - and I had a recent titer tested by my PCP (that was as far as she could figure out my fatigue). It was normal.
BUT, EBV is what set off all my major lyme symptoms about 3 years ago...took me a while to figure it out, of course. So maybe there's still enough in the system to make these bug bites swell up so hugely.

- For topical relief, tea tree oil can be very helpful, just a tiny bit right on the bite site. Be careful not to transfer that to face or hands, maybe a Band-Aid over it would be of help. -
