My LLMD recommended the test to me since my Western Blot was negative on Lyme-specific bands.

My IGM WB was only 18 and 41 positive. 39 IND.
IGG was 28, 39, 41, 58.
I was definitely exposed to Lyme but not sure if I have active infection , hence the Ispot Lyme test.

It's not FDA approved, at least. And as far as I know, there are no studies done on the test besides by the makers themselves, Pharmasan Labs or Neuroscience. What were your results on the iSpot?
I have read that it is a VERY sensitive test with minimal false positives/negatives. This leads me into the territory of calling bull. However, a similar test was FDA approved for tuberculosis. So it's possible.

Is your doctor a member of ILADS, ILADS "educated" and up to date with their recent / current presentations, etc?
It is really important, not so much to be a up front member but to attend or otherwise study all the presentations, and to have had the ILADS physician training course.
I searched at ILADS for iSPOT & for Pharmasan and no results. Also did some cross searches on the web and did not find anything where an ILADS doctor discusses it.
Normally, I would look for a prominent member of ILADS to recommend anything I would consider. Such an article might be out there but I have to stop looking now. You might give ILADS a call and ask how you could find out more about their thoughts on the iSPOT.

I'm with you Keebler. It looks promising, but there is SO little information on it. Which is strange, with its claims you would think it would be causing a level of excitement. As I said in another thread, my lyme doctor trusts it completely, but I think that's a bit premature given how little data it has supporting it at the moment. It's merely an interesting, hopeful experiment at best.
