I've had cardiac symptoms before, but I was in remission and just had a minor relapse and they have come back with a vengeance. The rest of the Lyme symptoms are pretty minor, but the cardiac ones are very scary.

pain in chest

shooting pain sometimes in heart area

strange sensations in left arm, left side of neck

sometimes short of breath, anxiety (not normal anxiety... strange heart-related anxiety).

I look up all these symptoms and they seem to be pretty serious... Pericarditis or myocarditis or something?

So my question is.......... what have you people done for cardiac symptoms that has worked and been useful? What do doctors say?

I almost feel like going to the ER, but I know they will only want to give me steroids which obviously will make the infection worse. Other than that, what can they do? I suppose IV antibiotics, but in the past antibiotics have seemed to make this problem WORSE - maybe herxing? Maybe driving the bacteria deeper? I don't know.

Would appreciate hearing people's personal stories / experiences / wisdom. Thank you.

Are you under the care of a LLMD?

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/NevadaLyme/info

Maybe they can help you find a LL Cardiologist in Nevada. I don't know of any, only on the East Coast.

They won't give steroids for a heart condition .. unless maybe it IS myocarditis.

You could possibly have some other type of heart condition and you should be checked out.

CoQ10 helps my A-fib.

Make sure to check all of your prescription drugs. I found out after YEARS that trazodone was adversely affecting my heart.

Once I got off of it, things have gotten WAY better.

Two things helped my cardiac issues: lyme treatment, anti infectious.

Second thing: teeth treatment, cavitations.

Both treatments stopped cardiac symptoms for me, in 2 different occasions.

Most lyme sufferers have cardiac symptoms, i think.

At least, it's VERY common, if you just read here in lymenet. Who DOESN'T have heart symptoms, that is more rare...

It is though scary, I agree! Keep treating lyme and I would go to a biological dentist to check for cavitations. I swear my cavitation problem felt AS bad as my lyme problem (heart-wise...)
