Need to find...

Essential oil that smells like real strong nice strawberry scent, with a heavy tangy additional smell- not cinnamon, not brown sugar, but something deeper and with some light twisting and kicking.

Looking for whatever oil that was that I had years ago- in a bar of red soap. For those who know about essential oils- do you possibly know what that might be? Any guesses?

I didn't forget the name, just never knew it.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks!

Thieves?

No strawberry scent in Thieves, but you might think it was that. It smells of cinnamon.

How did this land in "medical"? Is the soap a magic cure?

Ylang-Ylang ?

Kiwi can smell a bit like strawberries. You won't find a true strawberry essential oil (it just won't work), though some use artificial scent.

Bramble Berry is said to smell like strawberries but that would be more likely in a small soap supplier from a craft fair or such.

Pomegranate may not be used as an essential oil but as a coloring agent and it has a natural scent to it that is similar to a strawberry, I think.

Are you sure it was no artificial scent or artificial color? No idea where you got it? Crabtree & Evelyn - or The Body Shop - Bath & Body Works - popular years ago.

You might find those - or what else fits the puzzle at

VERMONT COUNTRY STORE website. They have lots of items of past decades.

The description on this makes me wish I could use scents other than just from real citrus or mint oils. [Hint for those with MCS who might tolerate "light" natural scents: citrus & mint are often easier than any flower oil. Lavender can be very hard to tolerate].

www.etsy.com/listing/74680078/strawberry-candy-soap-bright-red-soap

Strawberry Candy Soap - Bright Red Soap

Same site, do a search within ETSY, narrow to: U.S.; hand made: "red bar soap” (1,664 Results)

adding "strawberry" to that search narrows your field to just 58 -- but it makes the URL too long to post.

www.amazon.com/HHScents-Fresh-Soap-Apple-Red/dp/B01H1Y5N04

HHScents Fresh Soap, Apple Red

If it's not any of those, further search key terms at Amazon and eBay. As with VERMONT COUNTRY STORE, eBay will often have discontinued brands. Or contact your local craft markets to find a soap maker in your area.

Better yet, you might contact the creator of this soap line (I think they are in N.J.):

The Mindful Soap Company

About:

The Mindful Soap Company started as a result of my son who is diagnosed with autism. At the age of 4, he began going to therapy sessions at the Brain Balance Center. As a part of his therapy sessions, his coach had him smell specific essential oils to help stimulate certain parts of the brain.

Having a background in Biology, this was all very interesting to me. I researched essential oils a little further and discovered that many oils have health benefits . . . .

. . . The next thing I knew, the Brain Balance Center wanted to buy some and give it to their clients. Friends and family loved it wanted to buy it too! This was the beginning of The Mindful Soap Company. . . .
