I have low cortisol according to an adrenal saliva and blood test. Does anyone have experience with ADR or Adrenal from Pure encapsulations or A.C.E by Nutricology? The Adrenal by Pure has whole adrenal and adrenal cortex. I heard the whole adrenal provides adrenaline and people with low cortisol should not use it. Are there any other suggestions for a product?

As you sense, some of these can to too energizing. Good that you are aware of that. Overall, I suggest avoiding any "glandulars" until you've first used some herbal formulas and until you read Wilson's book.

For a start: cordyceps; ashwagandha; eleutero are best. Then, after a little time, maybe add rhodiola. I would not use rhodiola alone as it can be too stimulating for some people. Even in a formula, it's not one to just start off with, I think unless it's low in proportion to the others.

Holy Basil / Tulsi is good yet can be a bit sedating. That's often used to balance rhodiola in a formula.

Holy Basil can be great to help calm down for sleep.

cordyceps; ashwagandha; eleutero - good place to begin. Each of these three, or all combined, are good and proper support that is neither too boosting or sedating, I've found.

Vitamin B-5 is good, too.

Various product recommendations / combination formulas here:

I take hydrocortisone as replacement for cortisol (this is Rx). I also take Black Currant extract from Plant Stem Cells.

Adaptocrine K-2.

Prices vary a lot, so check around if interested. Here is more info about it.

https://www.apexenergetics.com/adaptocrine

It helps me so far, exactly as they said it would, and I had zilch adrenal activity. Total zilch.

I'm only taking 1/2 dose just because I have problems with so many things, so I started it that way.

Hope you find something that will help you!

This is deep within the adrenal links set, but bringing it up for you: some more detail regarding MichaelTampa's post 2 above:

My husband uses Dr James Wilson's Adrenal supplements.

In one months time he went from struggling to work 2 hours a day to working 5 hours a day.

I would go for either Adaptocrin k2, Adapten-All (ortho molecular) or Adrenasense. All are good. I take whichever one I energetically test positive for that day. Usually one pill in the morning. P.S.: Pure's product tested as a "no" for me.
