I went off IVIG/SCIG three months to do the test.
Had titers drawn for Pn23 and HiB. Next day had the two vaccines. 30 days after vaccines had the titer test again.
Pre vaccine titers were in the range of: <0.3 to .8 mcg/ml - mostly in the lower half of range. None above 1.3 mcg/ml.
Post vaccine titers: Ten types over 1.3 Of those ten - one was not a 4-fold increase. Of those ten - one was barely a 4-fold increase. So I passed 9-10 types.
I responded to ~40% of the types. Obviously the rest I failed - and pretty badly.
I had thought that below 70% meant a failed challenge.
My doctor's nurse called and said that I had a great response so I don't need IVIG/SCIG.
????
I did pass the HiB test.
Pre vacc. <0.15 mcg/ml Post vacc. 2.02
I think I failed the Pneumovax challenge. Or did I? Have I confused the % on pass/fail? To qualify for IVIG/SCIG?
My total IgG is in mid 500's. My total IgA is in the 80's.
